Bible Reading Check-In

by Chris Watkins - Student Pastor
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Hey church family! This year we have started reading through the New Testament as a church and I wanted to check-in and see how that is going for you? I know not everyone is doing the New Testament study, my wife and I are reading through the whole Bible chronologically again this year, so we are officially in Numbers.

Regardless of which plan or study you are following, I think it is important that we are, at a minimum, spending time in God’s Word more than just Wednesday and Sunday each week. We are getting to read and spend time with God as we read His inspired Word, and as we learn and grow in our relationship with Him.

As we read it is important that we not only read to read, but truly take a moment and dwell with God as we uncover what the passages mean in our lives. How did you see God show up in the text, did we learn something new about God as a result of reading that passage? If you need help learning a new study method please reach out to your church staff as we are here to help and assist you in your walk with the Lord.

I hope you have a great week and look forward to seeing you at Midweek or Sunday Morning!
