Sometimes I forget. Leave the house and forget my list that I made so I
won’t forget what to buy at the store. I forget the passcode to the app on
my phone that has a list of all my passcodes. I forget the other thing I
forgot that illustrates how I forget things.
And yet, all too often I remember. I remember the word I said. I remember
what I saw. I remember where I went. I remember what I did. Like
Rahab, I might want to live in a new day, but all too often I’m reminded of
the day I’m trying to leave behind. However, faith that comes from the
grace of God reminds us that those things are forgotten. They no longer
define us. They no longer order our steps. In Christ, faith forgets!
