What a GLORIOUS Celebration we shared this past Sunday! Thank you to our Hearts of Praise Adult Choir for lifting their hearts in praise to our Lord and Savior! You certainly brought Heaven down to us as you sang!
Also, what a blessing the Testimonies were to us! Thank you for sharing your stories with us, being transparent to allow us to see how awesome and magnificent our God is and how He’s worked in your lives. And that’s the power of the personal testimony for each of us – it’s a vital story that is personal to each of us and can never be taken away – because it’s ours!
Each of us who knows Christ has a “story!” May we see opportunities to share it with the people we meet so that they, too, may find their own story!

Sunday morning, April 29th, will be a wonderful time of Celebration! We’ll combine our two morning worship services into one large Celebration at 10:50 featuring our Hearts of Praise sharing several of their favorite anthems, interspersed with heart-touching testimonies!
This is an event that will bless and encourage you, no matter where you are with your walk with God.
The world would like for us to think that they know the answer to all of our problems and situations of life. But the truth of the matter is that our hope, our peace, our joy is found in our walk with our Savior! There’s no question that we need some encouragement from time to time – and to hear of how others have handled adversity in the light of God’s grace gives us strength to move on.
Make definite plans to be here, either for yourself or to be a source of strength for someone else!

Prai-”sing” Him!

If you missed last Sunday night, you missed a blessing! Seeing and hearing the Oklahoma Baptist Symphony, a 60+ member orchestra, who you knew had a faithful walk with Christ (one of the criteria is that they are faithfully involved in their church’s music ministry) as they played songs that gave all the glory to our God and Father was simply glorious! It was good to see Roger Sharp and Bali Ree Tucker representing our church. Also, Charlie Shackelford, the young man playing the bass, is the son of Linda Shackelford, a faithful member of our Hearts of Praise and our Ladies’ Ensemble, “His Song.”
Thank you to Debbie Gilmore as she coordinated pretty much everything from the set up to the take down and everything else in between, as well as making the trip to Sam’s to get the snacks and bottles of water! Also, thank you to Linda McGaughey and her team for her work in preparing the meal and then feeding the orchestra after their program. And to all the people helping in the afternoon and in the evening, thank you!! An event of this magnitude doesn’t happen without faithful people stepping up to help out where they are needed!
Join us as we welcome the Oklahoma Baptist Symphony, Sunday evening, February 26th! They will share their program of wonderful, inspiring music in this program that is free to everyone who comes. Our very own Roger Sharp is a part of this group, and I believe that our Bali Ree Tucker will be playing with them as well on this evening!
You might also want to plan to get in the Worship Center early as we will have a number of guests who will be here to enjoy this world renown symphony! Be sure to invite your friends and neighbors to this celebration of God’s love through excellent music!
Don’t miss this!

Our church recently visited Mexico to serve the community and minister to those less fortunate. Check out Mason Phillips’ article from the Baptist Messenger to learn more about this experience.
At Chisholm Heights Baptist Church in Mustang, one of our goals is to serve our community in a way that reflects the image of Jesus. Our latest men’s ministry, “New Commandment”, will meet every third Saturday of the month with their teams to go out around our community to provide assistance to widows, single moms, and others that need help with monthly chores. These teams will meet for breakfast, and from there they will go provide services to those in need.
We would love for you to join us in this Ministry of love and leadership. Please contact the church office at (405) 376-4531 to sign up.
